Business Analyst/ Project Manager

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst/ Project Manager to support their software and application projects with enterprise clients.  This fast-growing side of their business demands an experienced professional with outstanding attention to detail, the ability to work on several projects concurrently and strong knowledge of current best practices in the field.

One of the most important responsibilities of the role is to gather requirements from business stakeholders, document those requirements and ensure they are properly implemented.

The Business Analyst/ Project Manager must also be the liaison between developers, QA and the client.


  • Ensure that all project activities are completed in a timely manner and within budgeted constraints of the critical path.
  • Gather project requirements (including brainstorming, interviews, document analysis, observation, workshops)
  • Develop user stories and translate business requirements into functional specifications
  • Negotiate and communicate priority for new features and capabilities
  • Liaison between the development team, client support team, the client, vendors, partners and the senior management
  • Management of ongoing communication through project status updates and weekly scrum calls to maintain a healthy client relationship


  • A Business Analyst/ Project Manager with IT project related experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • 3+ years of experience working in a project management role
  • 1-3 years of experience as a BA with IT application delivery experience
  • Solid understanding of project management techniques and methodologies
  • Strong management, analytical and strategic skills
  • Ability to accept feedback constructively and iterate on ideas and solutions from multiple stakeholders with differing opinions
  • Ability to own a product and successfully guide its development and post-development improvements
  • Ability to identify, mitigate and manage both expected and unexpected projects risks
  • Ability to coordinate vital aspects of project delivery including, managing scope, project creation, weekly stand-ups, weekly goals, budgeting, estimation, and change requests
  • Meticulous thinker who can effectively work out all the details when presented with big ideas
  • A passion for championing innovation
  • Experience working within an agile and waterfall development processes
  • Experience with diagraming tools and standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency with project management and business analysis tools such as Teamwork, JIRA, Confluence

This is permanent or contract role with an annual salary between $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per annum located in North York, ON.
