JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
   KNOWLEDGE (MINIMUM LEVEL)
 
1.     LEVEL OF FORMAL EDUCATION
University degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
 
 
2.     LEVEL OF POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION:
University degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
 
3.     SPECIAL COURSES REQUIRED:
None.
 
4.     GENERAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
§ Knowledge of source code control systems – VSS, CVS, SVN or equivalent
§ Strong problem analysis / resolution skills required
§ Multi tasking and ability to manage stress
§ Experience/knowledge in application development in .NET C#, Java, Perl, ColdFusion, SQL Server, Oracle, CSS, XML, Javascript, C++, My-SQL
§ Ability to quickly prioritize technical problems and take remedial action in an independent manner
§ Ability to document and explain technical issues and resolution actions
§ Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation), negotiation and interpersonal skills
 
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (Minimal)
 
§ Application support experience
§ Some support team lead experience
§ Demonstrated experience with software configuration management and build management
§ Experience with multi-tiered software architectures and distributed software platforms
§ Familiar with CMM
 
 
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Operations Systems Analyst is responsible for the infrastructure that supports web applications and web service middleware. The individual will ensure that web operations are maintained at a high level of performance, functionality, and availability in development, test, and production environments.

Work with CCH product development teams and Perot Systems to facilitate timely migration of builds and site configuration changes for patches, and releases. Includes managing WKNA SS Datacenter Change control.

Maintain, administer and enforce best practices for source control repositories.

Implement \ maintain \ backup Development & Quality Assurance environments. Ensure that infrastructure conforms to the company’s architecture, operations, and security standards and procedures. Perform as administrator for production, quality assurance and development environments

Perform configuration audits on developer software code deliveries. Provide support for application developers.

Assist CCH and Perot teams with troubleshooting and debugging application operational issues in development, QA and production environments. Document all interaction with vendors / clients. Follow up on pending issues with vendors. Take real time corrective actions to prevent system issues from impacting system availability and performance. Contact staff to diagnose, repair and restore service and performance to adequate levels on an as needed basis. Provide application support 7/24 via pager or cell phone.

Manage Server Refresh Process. Includes maintain Server Hardware and Software acquisition process. Provide planning and execution for departmental projects to customer satisfaction. Participate in WK Initiatives (virtualization and consolidation)

Manage Code Releases (Builds + Deployments). Enforce software deployment process for patches and releases
