Description
The Network Services Manager’s role is to supervise and ensure the efficient operation of the company’s Montreal based network, client servers, databases, and equipment. This includes managing the IT staff responsible for monitoring and diagnosing network and hardware problems. The Network Services Manager will also work closely with the IT executive staff and decision makers in other departments in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
Responsibilities
· Manage operational performance of IT services delivered from the Montreal Data Centre;
· Manage regional Data Centre facilities;
· Develop and manage a project portfolio using established best practices;
· Develop and Manage level 3 and 4 support;
· Develop and Manage employee objectives and performance reports;
· Manage vendor partnerships;
· Control annual expense and approved capital budgets;
· Primary technical disciplines to manage include; Messaging, Security, Systems Management and Systems Performance.
Position Requirements
· University degree in the field of computer science or College degree with additional years of experience. Industry certifications, including ITIL 3.0 and PMI, an asset;
· 6 to 9 years of related work experience and proven experience in an IT management role;
· Strong understanding of industry standards including Disaster Recovery Planning (DRII)
· Strong technical knowledge of computer operating systems, network hardware, protocols, and standards;
· Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning, development and Data Centre operations;
· Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures;
· Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment;
· Proven experience in project management;
· Proven experience with IT audit (CoBIT);
