Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for applying best practices in the creation of Enterprise wide software packages. This will also include being responsible for documentation and understanding the overall impact of each piece of software on the desktop image. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong technical and problem solving skills.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Creates software packages (.msi)   and Microsoft transforms (.mst) using AdminStudio software and VBScript
Works closely with other IT Support staff to address all desktop system changes and software deployment issues
May assist with the design, evaluation and implementation of new technologies and service for software packaging and desktop management
Ability to analyze the interaction of each package and the impact on the standard image
IT special projects as required
 
Qualifications and Competencies:

Software packaging experience (5+yrs) (Wise installer and/or Installshield)
Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows installer technology such as Native MSI packaging, Application repackaging, standard and Custom Actions,  VBScript and WMI
Experience in implementing and supporting SMS based desktop management infrastructures for large complex organizations
SMS Server 2003)/SCCM 2007 (3+yrs) (preferred)
SQL server 2005 (2+yrs), including complex SQL queries
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask work assignments
A strong focus on attention to detail and quality results
