IT Asset Inventory Administrator

The IT Asset Inventory Administrator would inventory decommissioned IT hardware (servers, hard drives, switches, routers, cellphones etc.) for asset disposal and sale. This includes inventorying purchase date, purchase price and condition. They would work with stakeholders (Product, DCM’s and SCS) to ensure equipment cannot be repurposed.


  • Inventory decommissioned IT hardware – servers, hard drives, switches, routers, cellphones
  • Send copy to finance to determine Net Book Value
  • Go-to Market Strategy
    o Negotiate best fit; price, terms, environmental standards, pick-up date, deposit, etc. (customer must pay before pick up)
  • Send Net Book Value and Highest Bid/best fit for internal approval (sign-off required)
  • Complete Contract including signatures from both parties
    o Plug in numbers, locations, descriptions, names, etc. ensure contract is correct. (change portions as required)
  • Send final liquidation package (DOA approval, Net Book Value and signed contract, etc.) to Billing to generate invoice
  • Notify Accounts’ Receivables payment is expected
  • Once accepted, material can be released
  • Release material to customer and record weights (for ESG program).
    o All documents must be saved on a common drive for history and traceability
    o Tightly secure all parcels; procure bubble-wrap, strapping or cardboard to ensure parcels do not get damaged
  • Hard Drives must be removed/secure-erased
  • Any Hard Drives shredded by the Buyer must receive a serialized-certificate

This is a part-time remote based role (20 hours/week) work from home with potential paid travel, if required.
