IT Manager (Manufacturing)
A highly motivated self-starter with a high degree of initiative, the IT Manager (Manufacturing) will work across the entire organization, including plant operations, sales, finance, and administration, identifying and executing value-added IT projects. The IT Manager will ensure that all resources are used in the most efficient manner possible through effective communication, utilization, and direction. Moreover, the IT Manager will be an integral component of the local management team and is expected to actively contribute to the continuous evolution of the IT function and overall success.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes IT strategies to enhance operational excellence, improve staff effectiveness, and foster innovation.
- Oversees development, enhancement, maintenance, and integration of new or existing business systems, including ERP and related applications, for all group businesses.
- Ensures effective disaster recovery and backup of all essential systems across all group businesses.
- Adheres to best practices regarding security and risk mitigation, following governance directives.
- Provides technical expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, and data conversions or maintenance.
- Develops standard operating procedures and best practices, including providing written protocols and guidance to IT staff and to end-users.
- Maintains a strong commitment to written documentation, including but not limited to IT policies, internal architecture documentation, system and user manuals, license management, and documentation of modifications and upgrades (change control for business systems).
- Oversees IT financial planning and management, including capital projects and operating budgets
- Negotiates 3rd party contracts and service agreements, subsequently manages and monitors service levels and deliverables.
- Communicates regularly with management and all users of information services and systems.
- Supports objective to follow all standards, policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent education and experience, along with advanced technical or managerial credentials (CRISC, PMP, CISP, CISM) or related experience.
- 8 or more years of progressive technology experience, with at least 3 years of experience leading IT for a large, diverse organization.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience required, including knowledge of complex hardware and control systems.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry
- Proven ability to lead an internal or external team of technical staff, delivering complex, concurrent projects.
- Experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization and client/server architecture.
- Strong awareness and effective implementation of security best practices.
- Capable of working independently and autonomously on a variety of assignments.
- Strong history of coaching and mentorship, able to lead staff and business leaders to understand and support the overall IT vision.
- Self-motivated, actively encourages others to achieve personal excellence.
- Views conflicting needs and requirements as challenges to overcome rather than impediments, and a necessary part of organizational effectiveness.
This is a permanent role with an annual salary of $120,000.00 – $130,000.00 plus bonus and benefits.
