.NET Developer
Our client is looking for a .NET Developer to develop, maintain and support technical business solutions for their organization. The .NET Developer will provide innovative business solutions in order to automate complex business requirements that support corporate strategies.
Responsibilities
• Maintain and develop corporate-wide business computer application systems
• Troubleshoot problems and programming issues and maintain data accuracy and integrity in order to ensure smooth system operations
• Provide technical support by answering questions, resolving issues and giving professional advice on producing reports and data as requested in order to improve end user effectiveness
• Work with the Quality & Design team to thoroughly understand detailed requirements of all solutions developed
• Work with the Solutions Platform & Implementation team to develop implementation scripts and related solution delivery tasks
• Provide recommendations to improve existing systems
• Prepare and maintain technical, project and system-related documentation
• Identify opportunities, risk and constraints for IT to enhance the business
• Maintain a good understanding of the organization’s business units’ functions and processes
• Ensure business solutions are developed and maintained in a manner that is conducive to information access security policies and general IT development standards
Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science
• Minimum 5 years of programming experience with .NET and C#
• OLAP cube development in Microsoft Analysis Services
• Developing business intelligence solutions using an industry leading platform such as Business Objects, Cognos etc.
• Web Services API
• Database modeling, jquery, JSON, JSP, XML, HTML, Ajax, JavaScript
• Configuring and programming electronic workflows
• Developing Mobile solutions is a definite asset
• Developing solutions within the Microsoft SharePoint platform is an asset
• Minimum 5 years developing and implementing business software solutions
• ITIL Essentials Certification is an asset
• Excellent understanding of project management principles
• Excellent understanding of application development lifecycle concepts
• Good knowledge of technology environments, including network infrastructure, servers and operating systems
• Good understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Developing and configuring middleware products such as Jitterbit and ODBC
• Good understanding of internet concepts and browser configurations
• Configuring and managing internet servers such as IIS
• Developing Microsoft SQL stored procedures and SSIS
• Crystal Reports
• Microsoft Reporting Services
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office products
This is a 6 month contract role located in Toronto, ON.
