Network Support Specialist (NOC)/specialist reseau
The Network Support Specialist (NOC)/specialist reseau is responsible for all aspects of telecom/technical support for our client’s customers. This includes all aspects of support functions which includes a combination of field maintenance/customer support and activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of NOC related experience
- Experience working in the telecom industry is preferred.
Specific Competencies
- Must possess a high level of customer service skills.
- Must be fluent in both French and English
- CCNA/CCNP certification is an asset
- Proven ability to work independently and meet aggressive deadlines.
- Troubleshoot and identify customer LAN issues, including WIFI configuration
- Configure and troubleshoot customer facing Cisco network infrastructure
- Working knowledge and experience with layer 2 bridging/switching, TCP/IP inter-networking and routing with OSPF and BGP as well as an understanding of CIDR address allocation.
- Detailed understanding of provisioning processes in a service provider environment.
- Experience working with and troubleshooting optical media converter technology is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Incident management ticketing systems.
- Must be customer focused and an effective communicator
Key Responsibilities
- Performs functions relating to the administration, maintenance and support of the network and services provided to customers.
- Provides direct and front line support to customers as required via telephone.
- Provide network, technical and customer support functions.
- Coordinate the work of the field services team, partners and contractors to provision and test new customer services as well as resolve customer issues with services.
- Input, update and verify various databases and programs related to the job functions.
- Compiles and summarizes statistical reports that are related in level to the functions inherent in the position.
- Be safety and control conscious and aware of established control procedures, laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Special Conditions
This position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Records Check and submit a Canadian Police Clearance Certificate.
This is a permanent position located in Montreal, QC or Toronto, ON (work from home until deemed safe) with an annual salary of $60,000.00 per annum. We are only considering qualified bilingual candidates (French/English) for this role. This role supports the shifts 8AM – 11:59PM.
