System Administrator/SAN Support Analyst
We are currently looking for a System Administrator/SAN Support Analyst to support our client’s SAN Storage, Backup and virtualization environments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems
- Alert management to emerging trends in incidents
- Liaise between resolver and other teams within the organization
- Provide server, storage and systems support to a diverse group of clients via phone, email or portal
- Diagnose and resolve problems and issues at a more advanced level with focus and attention to detail
- Provide suggestions for improving and assisting with documentation
- Prioritize problems; escalate high priority requests in a timely manner
- Develop an understanding of the customer’s environment and maintain technical knowledge
- Dispatch technical service regarding hardware problems
Qualifications
- Good experience with VMware and other virtualization technologies
- Good experience with SAN Storage technologies, arrays and best practices
- Experience implementing, administering and supporting virtualization technologies
- Experience with server Backups
- Experience using Veeam Backup technologies
- Experience with maximizing server disk space and server consolidations
- Experience with Server restorations
- Good knowledge of Windows Servers
- Knowledge of Linux Servers
This is a minimum 12 month contract role located in Toronto (work from home until deemed safe with occasional onsite visits).
