Technical Support Analyst (SAN/Backup)

The Technical Support Analyst (SAN/Backup) is responsible for providing exceptional levels of technical support for our client’s SAN Storage, Backup and virtualization environments.


  • Provide server, storage and systems support to a diverse group of clients via phone, email or portal
  • Diagnose and resolve problems and issues with focus and attention to detail
  • Provide suggestions for improving and assisting with documentation
  • Prioritize problems; escalate high priority requests in a timely manner
  • Develop an understanding of the customer’s environment and maintain technical knowledge
  • Dispatch technical service regarding hardware problems


  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a technical support analyst
  • Knowledge of VMware and other virtualization technologies
  • Experience with SAN Storage technologies
  • Experience implementing, administering and supporting virtualization technologies
  • Experience with server Backups
  • Knowledge of Veeam Backup technologies
  • Experience with maximizing server disk space and server consolidations
  • Experience with Server restorations
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers
  • Customer Service focus and a positive attitude
  • Well-developed customer service skills
  • Being able to show compassion, sensitivity and have a sense of humor with others
  • Ability to support remote users over the phone
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Positive, self-motivated, adaptable, quick learner

This is a minimum 12 month contract role located in Toronto (work from home until deemed safe with occasional onsite visits) with an annual salary of $45,000.00 – $50,000.00.
