Senior Data Quality Specialist (Informatica)

The Senior Data Quality Specialist (Informatica) will drive the enablement of Data Quality Management practices with technology solutions to define, monitor and measure data against business expectations throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Data Profiling and Quality Management – maintain Data Profiling and Quality Analysis practices, disciplines and processes to drive overall enterprise capabilities, and establish and maintain metrics to track maturity.
• Business Data Quality Analysis – Understand business data quality requirements, assess, measure and communicate existing quality levels, and ensure quality issues are assessed through Stewardship for business impact.
• Validation and Troubleshooting – Ensure that data quality rules are accurately built using validation tools and develop and in-depth understanding of source systems and D&A data structures to further define the rules.
• Root Cause Analysis – Track, investigate and analyse root causes of data quality issues, ensuring data quality issues and remediation plans are communicated to all necessary stakeholders.
• Provide data quality management expertise to business and IT on best practices
• Develop and maintain data quality profiling and dashboards within the Informatica data management toolset
• Deliver data management and governance reporting and metrics for tracking levels and progress
• Support the development, communication and adoption of Data Management policies and principles
• Ensure data profiling solutions identified by stakeholders as risk monitoring controls are maintained, documented and fully operational to support related business processes

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience of data management principles and practices
• Technical proficiency with Informatica IDQ
• Proven analytical, problem-solving and issue resolution skills
• Solution-focused, takes proactive initiative on priorities
• Able to multi-task and flourish in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
• Demonstrated excellence in communication, presentation, collaboration, and relationship building skills with different business and technical roles and departments
• Excellent written / verbal communication and professional maturity
• Proven experience with data quality management procedures
• Risk and Compliance familiarity within the financial services industry

This is a minimum 6 month contract, work from home or hybrid based role in Toronto, ON
