Systems Engineer
The Systems Engineer is responsible for design, implementation, maintenance and support of all on-premise servers and cloud solutions. The role also includes working with vendors as required and ownership of service requests/changes ensuring that requirements are resolved in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Design, implementation, maintenance and support of all Microsoft Windows Servers – including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (including Azure), Group Policies, File/Print Sharing and IIS
- Design, implementation, maintenance and support of VMWare, vSphere and vCenter
- Design, implementation, maintenance and support of all Microsoft Exchange servers
- Windows 10 (including administration) knowledge
- Responsible for IP addressing, routing and support
- Maintenance of all backup and disaster recovery services
- Assist in the design, maintenance and support of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager
- Design, implementation, maintenance and support of all Microsoft SQL Servers
- Responsible for all iManage servers
- Microsoft Office knowledge and support (when required)
- Resolve, track and document all server related support requests
- Monitor, maintain and upgrade servers/solutions as required for new requirements/projects and/or existing solutions
- Communicate with vendors/partners, any issues and assist in the development of solutions – including optimizing deficiencies and/or short comings
- Resolve any server related IT issues/changes assigned from other groups
- Assist with the deployment of user configurations and support when required
- Analyze change requirements and present recommendations for solutions and standardization to senior management and manage the implementation of proposed solutions
- Documentation (including updates) of all server/cloud and other Information Technology systems
- Track assigned service desk incidents and change requests – including reassignments or looking for ways to improve on existing solutions
- Assist in the development of Information Technology policies, procedures and standards
Qualifications
- 5 years of related progressive experience in IT
- 2 years experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- 2 years experience with Microsoft SCCM Infrastructure Administration, Installation and Support
- 2 years Microsoft SQL Server (2008/2012) experience (Deploying/Maintaining)
- 2 years VMware Experience
- 2 years Microsoft Windows Server experience (Deploying/Maintaining)
- 2 years PowerShell Experience (asset)
This a permanent hybrid role located in downtown Toronto with an annual salary of $90,000.00-$100,000.00 plus benefits and bonus.
